Jaanus Orgusaar presents a new collection at IMM Cologne

Jaanus Orgusaar presents a new collection of design furniture and lamps at the Pure Studios section of IMM Cologne from 16th – 22nd January.

Inspired by the success in 2016 the Estonian designer and inventor Jaanus Orgusaar will be presenting his new collection of furniture and lamps at IMM Cologne for the second year in the Pure Studios section, dedicated to up-and-coming designers with limited edition collections and small series production. The participating designers have been hand-picked by the international jury for IMM Cologne PURE section.

Orgusaar is looking forward to an inspiring show in Cologne: “My designs really seemed to click with the visitors last time, we received overwhelming feedback from both trade professionals and the end consumers. The light Nordic character of the designs and the unmistakable originality helps to brighten up every interior with little effort and evokes emotion – makes people happy.”

Jaanus Orgusaar is an inventor and designer who dives straight to the primal source – his work is inspired by nature’s geometry that makes his objects clearly distinguishable. The collection includes flat-pack bookshelves, tables and other objects made sustainably of high quality plywood by using surprising patterns and clever constructions that have been inspired by natural phenomena. The new lamps collection of Jaanus Orgusaar is characterized by their light material – airplane plywood – sculptural forms and unusual atmospheric light effects.

Pure Studios complements many years’ work by IMM Cologne in the promotion of international young designers. It will form part of Pure Editions in Hall 2.2 – right between the established design brands.

Please find us at IMM Cologne, Hall 2.2, booth P-012 from 16th to 22nd January.
